Like so many of Kevin’s sculptures, Strike speaks of balance and grace.
If you are wondering why a windchime – which is rung by the capricious wiles of the wind – is named Strike, behold its profile below, which reveals its cobra-inspired form.
Even though Strike reaches 8-1/4 feet into the sky, its stand is light and graceful, while the bell – 5 feet tall itself – constitutes the bulk of the piece’s weight. Fortunately, Kevin has built it so that the bell is easily removable, yet swings freely to dance with the lightest breeze.
