After seven months of work, Kevin is putting the last panels on his 9-foot-tall outdoor sculpture Wherever You Go, There You Are. Each steel panel is hand cut and shaped to fit its location, no two of which are the same. In this video, Kevin explains how he is adding the last dozen panels, which are at the top of the sculpture. That means welding from a ladder, not one of his favorite things. He is grinding as he goes, but there is still a lot of finish work to do, including making this outdoor sculpture waterproof, before the patina can be applied. The end is in sight, which is good, because installation for a year-long show at a college in Tucson, Arizona, is scheduled for the end of September.
